Asian Para Games
Wheelchair Guide

Plan a step-free visit to Aichi-Nagoya 2026 — from Centrair Airport, through Nagoya Station, to your venue. Find the right ticket, reserve the accessible shuttle where it applies, then choose your venue route from the station platform to the entrance.

Do the Asian Para Games have wheelchair tickets? The official guide says wheelchair seating is available for every session. A wheelchair ticket covers one wheelchair user and one accompanying person; always check the official ticket site for current availability and conditions.

Can I use the accessible shuttle? The official service is free and reservation is first come, first served for selected venues. Conditions vary by venue, and wheelchair size and weight limits apply.

Which venues are also used for the Asian Para Games (18–24 October)? Aichi Budokan (Para Judo), Aichi International Arena (Wheelchair Basketball), Fukiage Hall (Para Powerlifting), Higashiyama Park Tennis Center (Wheelchair Tennis), Inae Sports Center (Para Fencing), Mizuho Stadium and Gymnasium (Para Athletics & Para Taekwondo), Rainbow Hall (Boccia), Rainbow Pool (Para Swimming) and Terraspo Tsuruma (Blind Football) — each page below covers both Games.

Before you travel: wheelchair visitor checklist

  • Choose a Wheelchair Ticket if you will remain in your wheelchair. The official guide says wheelchair spaces are available for every session, and the ticket includes entry for one companion seated beside the wheelchair space. Disability-price seating is a different ticket type and cannot be used while remaining in a wheelchair.
  • Check the shuttle before you set out. The free official accessible shuttle only serves selected venues and pickup points. Reservations are first come, first served, so confirm that your venue is covered and that your chair meets the published vehicle conditions.
  • Flying in via Centrair? The official visitor guide recommends public transport to reach every venue. The step-free route starts with the Meitetsu μSKY Limited Express from Centrair Station to Nagoya Station, about 28–35 minutes, then connects by JR, the Meijo Line subway or the Aonami Line to your venue — see the Centrair airport guide for terminal-to-train access.
  • Use the venue guide for the final part of the journey. Each guide below identifies the recommended station or stop, the confirmed step-free route, lifts and the nearest accessible toilet. Start with Nagoya Station if it is part of your route.

Tickets and accessible seating

The official Asian Para Games ticket guide states that wheelchair-accessible seating is available for all sessions. A Wheelchair Ticket is for one wheelchair user and one accompanying person, with the companion seat beside the wheelchair space; the two must enter and leave together. Check the official ticket information for session availability, purchase conditions and any event-specific changes.

Accessible shuttle

The official accessible shuttle is for visitors who use a wheelchair or need mobility support, and operates for selected venues. It is free, requires a reservation, and is first come, first served. The standard vehicle accepts wheelchairs up to 1,200 mm long, 700 mm wide, 1,300 mm high and 200 kg; visitors with larger power or sports wheelchairs should contact the service before travelling. Check the official shuttle conditions, pickup point and reservation.

Airport to venue: Centrair → Nagoya Station → your venue

The official visitor guide recommends public transportation to reach the venues, alongside shuttle buses, the accessible shuttle and park-and-ride services at selected venues. If you are arriving by air, the step-free route from Chubu Centrair International Airport runs: Centrair Station beneath Terminal 1 → Meitetsu μSKY Limited Express, about 28–35 minutes → Nagoya Station → connect by JR, the Meijo Line subway or the Aonami Line to your venue. See the Centrair wheelchair access guide for terminal access and the airport-to-Nagoya-Station leg, and each venue page below for the final leg. Official visitor transport information.

How these are put together

Each venue page starts from the official Aichi Prefecture venue-access page, names the station or bus stop actually recommended, and gives the walk time in minutes. Where a route is not documented officially, the page says so rather than guessing.

This is an independent project. It is not affiliated with any railway company, venue or public body.
